Inside socket (Shch3), specialized for connecting capacity switching unit with source of electric current. b. Socket of converting current Shch2, Shch6 specializing in dividing feeding network to necessary connection with heaters and heating network of apparatus. c. Internal opening socket Shch1 and is used to connect unit with apparatus. d. Power channel (adapter) which includes direction equipment unit (Y2) and transistor keys (T4, T6) specializing in sending necessary power to heating equipment in apparatus after receiving signals in apparatus. e. Adjusted power channel which includes condenser C2 and entrance filter unit Y1 with transistor unit T3, T1 carried on unit's frame, also adapter and unit balancer Y2 with transistor unit T5, T2 carried on unit's frame and condenser C3 of filter. Transistors T7, T6, T5, T3 available in drum CKY (diagram 5.123.012) and (diagram 11) with transistor available on unit's frame (T4, T6) included in composition of apparatus heat adjustment system and unit receiving directed signals it will be in a closed status. When direction signal enters one of transistors sockets, for example T3 (collector [illegible]) the transistor opens T6 in capacity switching unit, and heat sensor of apparatus is connected to current source. Heaters are connected to electrical power when direction signal enters transistor socket (in drum). Adapter and drum voltage [illegible[ includes each of the following: measurement equipment connected to transistor T3, primary element [illegible], conversion circuit composed of transistor T2 and charging [illegible] C1, key connected to a group of equipment on transistor T4, T1 (un drum) and T2 (in capacity switching unit). 176 RESTRICTED RESTRICTED f. Filter ([illegible]) which is composed from adapter Tp2 (in drum), board CKY, and condenser C1 (in capacity switching unit). In [illegible] adapter, attached oscillation [illegible] is used which is controlled by a key and with help from adapter circuit (T2, C2) which forms directed oscillation in standard times. In the initial stage (project stage) transistors are closed, and when power goes in transistor T2 opens and is connected to charging circuit of condenser C1. When level of power in condenser C1 reaches a level enough to open transistor T2, the key opens; the condenser C1 begins emptying through transistor T8. At negative power of condenser C1 appears on transistor T2 layer and the former stays closed until complete emptiness of condenser C1. As [illegible] of entering voltage of [illegible] adapter from exchange R13-R15, sent to transistor T3 layer the main voltage source is considered [illegible], evacuation time of condenser C1 is like its charging time related to the last calculation of amount of entering voltage. By increasing entering voltage time of charging condenser C1 is reduced which leads to reducing time of transistor T2 remaining closed, as a result voltage leaving adapter [illegible] remains fixed because of the reduction of oscillation coming from key. When reducing incoming voltage the voltage on adapter [illegible] exit maintains the operational level. As a result of increase in oscillation coming from key and when key is open the current enters through filter ([illegible]) to resistance whose condenser is charged. When key is closed the accumulated energy inside filter is used for resistance through transistor T5 (capacity switching unit), when valve opens in [illegible] adapter circuit it is possible to adjust voltage by changing resistance (R14). Drum includes adapter (current adjuster) connected with transistor T1, T2 in apparatus drum and transistor T1, T3 (in capacity switching unit 6m-26) and adapter Tp1 of dual rolls which sends 177 RESTRICTED RESTRICTED voltage to current adjuster and filter ([illegible]). In order to reduce oscillation influence on regular integration circuit +6.5 volts, comparative adapter is used which is connected on transistors T7...T3. When apparatus detects nerve agents vapors, yellow light available on mobile signals mass and on light board will blink (on-off), at the same time siren will go on. If concentration of poisonous vapors continue to be higher than apparatus sensitivity of poisonous agents, danger signal will repeat every two minutes when apparatus is working according to constant system and every 16 minutes according to cyclical system. If signal repeating was given in a way that some cycles do not give signals ([illegible]), this means that concentration of poisonous vapors matches with apparatus sensitivity of these concentrations. If red light began blinking (on-off) when working, this indicates that sensory tape is finished or is cut. In this case, apparatus cover should be opened. If you verify that the tape is finished, place another tape according with above instructions. If tape was cut, remove reception dial wheel 15 (diagram 1), take out tape being used, pull end of tape from sending dial for 40-45 cm. and place tape's loose end on cavity of reception dial wheel and turn it 2-3 cycles clockwise. Then place wheel on reception dial axle and then turn reception dial until you make sure that tape is tight. When apparatus is in operation, observe red light indicating apparatus breaking down which could be prevented following instructions in technical maintenance instructions. When finishing operating apparatus, turn it off and open apparatus cover and remove used section of sensory tape and filter and put them in the designated place. Pull dripping tubes and humidity absorbing container, and pour remaining solutions in designated place. Then wash them according to above instructions and place them in their place. 197 RESTRICTED RESTRICTED Check the apparatus visually and if there is no damage to it, close apparatus cover. The apparatus is cleaned by wiping the external structure with a piece of wet cloth wet with purifying solutions number 1 and number 2 with organic and containing ammonia. Preparing apparatus in accordance with external conditions and weather: After opening apparatus cover in short intervals (less than five minutes) and apparatus is operating, it is important to press tape-pulling system within short times and wait for blue light to go on. After that continue operating apparatus. When air temperature is over 10¡C, it is allowed to operate the apparatus discontinuously. But the time necessary to keep sensory solutions in dripping tubes should not exceed 24 hours. After these periods are over, dripping tubes should be filled with fresh solutions. When turning the apparatus on after a stop from 15 minutes to 2 hours, it is necessary to press tape-pulling system key and, after the light is on, continue operation. If period of stop exceeded two hours, apparatus should be heated and its validity for operation is checked according with above instructions. When teaching students the (teaching period) method for using apparatus, it is allowed to use sensory tape available with reserve material set instead of original tape and distilled water to fill up dripping tubes. NOTE: It is not advised to open apparatus cover while in operation except in emergency. Apparatus cover should be closed when apparatus is in use. 18. CHECKING TECHNICAL CONDITION OF APPARATUS Technical condition of apparatus is checked when delivering apparatus to units for practical use and when sending apparatus to storage and when maintaining apparatus. Table number 10 includes the most important points to be implemented. Validity of apparatus for operation is determined by operating while filled with sensory material. Time necessary to measure technical variables (no less than an hour). While measuring variables, dripping tubes are filled with distilled water and sensory tape is placed and measurement is performed while apparatus cover is open. 198 RESTRICTED RESTRICTED When checking, visually note the important mechanical sections. (such as dripping tubes, tape-pulling system...etc.). If signals lights and lighting were inoperative, they are replaced from reserve material set and checking will be continued. Apparatus is technically valid for operation if technical variables match descriptions available in table (number 6). After checking, wash dripping tubes and clean humidity collection container and write down observations in designated sections. NOTE: Dripping points adjustment id performed according with instructions in table 10. Table number 10 Most important checks regarding apparatus technical condition. SECTION CHECKING TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY FOR CHECKING, CHECKING METHOD TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 1 2 1. Check operation sequence and their time while apparatus in operation by observation and [illegible] one element section of sensory tape. System selection key position determines area apparatus operates on. Checking is to be conducted in both constant and cyclical positions and (preparation-operation) key should be set on Preparation. All checks are conducted after pressing pulling and turning system of tape. Continuation of air intake is determined as follows: a. When apparatus is operating according to constant system, from moment of placing tape in air intake room until it is liberated. b. When apparatus is operating according to cyclical system, from moment of operating cyclical pump until it is stopped. When apparatus is operating, the following points should be implemented sequentially according to time specified for each section of sensory tape sections. a. Intake air to be analyzed through section of operating tape by 120 + 10 seconds. b. Sensory tape section is moved through 120 seconds after beginning of air intake. c. Wetting sensory tape with solution number 1 through 3 ± 1 second after moving tape. d. Wetting sensory tape with solution 2 through 120 ± 10 seconds after moving tape. e. Measuring light intensity of sensory tape section. 199 RESTRICTED RESTRICTED 1 2 2. Tape pulling system is to be checked as follows: Open apparatus cover, place work area selection key (cyclical-constant) on constant position and (preparation- operation) switch on Operation position. Turn on apparatus switch and press checking key, in times between operation of tape-pulling system place on sensory tape 3-5 drips (dark colored spots) on right and side section of intake room. Measure distance between spots, between each spot and another (pay attention to appropriateness of tape rolling, organizing tightness of tape is done by crew driver through turning fixation nut. 3. Checking operation of dripping tubes is performed with help of transparent glass 6.059.001 containing bead holes. To measure drip size, put transparent glass under dripping tube and even in air intake room when dripping tubes are operating normally, solution will pass freely through transparent glass holes without falling on its surface. Tape-pulling system should secure tape moving a distance equivalent to 25 ± 1 ml. Loosening of sensory tape is not allowed. Dripping tubes should not leak. Dripping solution of dripping tubes should be in middle of tape. Solution is allowed to drop on its surface so that total size of dripping solution 2 micro litre and should not exceed this limit. 200 RESTRICTED RESTRICTED 1 2 Size of drip coming out from each dripping tube is measured by sample 6.600.734 and level measure 123.026. After adjusting, leave first work of dripping tube and measure drip size after second work. Remove right dripping tube, and remove [illegible] filter. Color sensory tape by dark spot, red light will then turn on constantly. Place dripping tube and filter in their places. 4. Sensory lights will be checked when apparatus cover is open. Turn on operation switch 5 (diagram 1) and make sure that green light on apparatus board and mobile signals mass is on. Press tape-pulling system, blue and yellow and red lights will then turn on (if they were valid). They appear on system board and mobile signals mass without depending on sensory circuit they took place in. Note that red light blinks. 5. Checking practical capacity of signals circuits regarding validity of apparatus is done through area selection key Size of drip coming out of each of the two dripping tubes should be around 30-40 micro millimeter. Apparatus should provide: a. Light signal (through green light) indicating reception of voltage. b. Green, blue and yellow sensory lights can be checked. In apparatus there are the following light signals that indicate problems in apparatus: 201 RESTRICTED RESTRICTED 1 2 To operate on Constant position, open network key and block opening of air entrance 22 (diagram 1), red light should then be on constantly. Remove sensory tape from light measurement area, red light should then blink regularly. 6. Sensitivity of apparatus operation is checked and adjusted by sensory light filter. Thus remove dripping tubes (to prevent wetting tape by sensory solutions). Place area selection key (cyclical-constant) on Constant position, and (preparation- operation) key on Operation position. Place protective screen 8.634.766 and press key Check and adjust measurement indicator 22 where it should mark an average of 1 ± 6 micro ampere so that it suits sensitivity of apparatus operation (after leaving Check key, indicator should return to zero). Place sensory light filter after 5-10 seconds from the moment tape-pulling system engine stops (this indicates red light turning on) then continue observing measurement indicator. a. Constant red light, air intake into apparatus is more or less than level required. b. High heating for tape wetting area. c. Red light blinking, tape is over or is cut. Apparatus should be adjusted to sensitivity of apparatus operation in which the indicator will move to: 1 ± 6 micro ampere when pressing Check key (actual sensitivity of apparatus operation); 1 ± 6 micro ampere when placing sensory light filter in light measurement area. Absolute amount of differing indicators by Check key and by light filter should not exceed 1 micro ampere. 202 RESTRICTED RESTRICTED 1 2 Adjust measurement indicator and note the arrow, it should point to 1 ± 6 micro ampere. This is suitable to sensitivity of apparatus operation. If absolute amount of differing first and second indicators more than 1 micro ampere, through sensitivity regulator 20 (diagram 2) sensitivity of apparatus is regulated (turn screw clockwise if sensitivity was more then needed) Repeat the operation several times until you are sure that the absolute amount of difference when pressing on Check key by using sensory light filter is no more than a micro ampere. NOTE: When checking and adjusting sensitivity of apparatus operation, extreme care should be taken and light analysis area should not come under direct or reflected sun light. 203 RESTRICTED RESTRICTED 19.
