Subject: Iraqi Chemical Warfare Training/Equipment

As of November 1990, the Iraqi V Army Corps had probably moved its 
HQ from Irbil to Mosul. Chemical warfare training and preparations 
were proceeding in the V Corps area of responsibility. Since 
August, such training had gone on at Mosul and Tall Afar. A chemi-
cal warfare equipment depot existed in the Corps area and all 
troops had the capability of firing chemical munitions using 122, 
130, and 155mm cannons and howizers and 122mm multiple rocket 
launchers. The Iraqis had set up decontamination stations at 3710N
04340E and at 3700N 04330E.
