Summary	Iraqi corps in Kuwait and southeastern Iraq continue to
sustain significant losses; 111, IV, and vn cO,ps are
assessed to be marginally combat effective, and the
Republican Guard is assessed to be moderately combat effective. Damage
to the Iraqi airfield infra-
structure continued to mount, with increasing damage noted
                to mu-
nition, fuel, and maintenance facilities. Iraq 's
integrated air defense
system continued to be degraded. All of Iraq's 22 S-shaped
                chemical
weapon-associated bunkers have been destroyed. Iraq's
               capability to
produce chemical weapon agents at identifed locations has
               been
degraded by 75 percent. Practically all of the laboratories
                at the
Baghdad Nuclear Research Center, which could have been
               used for
a near-term nuclear explosives capability, now have been
               destroyed
or severely damaged. Only 4 of the 28 short-range ballistic
                missile
fixed launcher sites in western Iraq remain fully
               operational.

Nuclear,
Biological
Chemical

Nuclear. Practically all of the laboratories at the Baghdad
Nuclear Research Center, which the Iraqis could have used for
a near-term nuclear explosives capability, now have been
destroyed or have suffered severe damage. In addition, several
facilities that are suspected of having been involved in the
Iraqi long-term nuclear weapon program also have suffered
heavy damage.

Biological. All of Iraq's known capability to store biological
warfare or other war material requiring refrigerated storage
has been established.

Chemical. All 22 S-shaped bunkers have been destroyed or
damaged. Irag's capability to produce chemical warfare agent
at identified locations has been degraded by at least 75
percent. Reports suggest that other Iraq production facilities
exist, but their locations and functions remain unconfirmed.
