Subject: Chemical Weapons

As of February 1991, a chemical launcher group was deployed within 
an Iraqi sector in southeastern Kuwait.  It could not be 
determined if this was a recent deployment; however, the 
deployment of the chemical launcher group was the first indication 
of offensive chemical warfare assets in southern Kuwait.
