Subject: Iraqi Anticipation of Chemical Weapons Attack

On 20 February 1991, an Iraqi near Kuwait City believed that the 
coalition forces probably would launch a chemicals weapons strike 
within a few days. The Iraqi ordered precautionary measures, 
probably including the preparation of chemical warfare suits.
