          Two soldiers were inadvertently wounded by U.S. grenade explosion while
        clearing a town. Both soldiers were seen by the 'Lead Surgical Element' of
        the 128th CSH. The wounds of both soldiers were debrided under general
        anesthesia.

                                  surgically in the operating room.

             A Bradley vehicle and an M113 APC were hit by fire from an Apache
        helicopter at 2330 on 16 Feb 91. The six survivors were received at 0700

                           I      Possible concussion, injured R hip.
             Patient    2 wag taken to OR, others required debridement and wound
        care, but more casualities were reported as incoming, so the rest were
        evacuated. Only innnediates were to undergo surgey in the LSE.
             The ground war started at approximately 0300, 24 Feb 91. The ground
        troops met little resistance in the initial advance and were moving forward
        at a more rapid rate than anticipated. First casualties from the ground
        war were not seen until 0200 hours, 25 Feb 91.
