2225 received call from CPT Baron, 542d, that
MOPP level in Dhahran area is MOPP level
2 due to possible scud launch.
19 Jan 91 Shift change. Pierson
0700
0800 LTC Honchul, G-4 Aviation, requested a Atkinson
demonstration of the capabilities of the
cooling suit. A trip to Dhahran will be
required to obtain a suit and
demonstrate it's use. The demonstration
is for the G-4.
0830 Received PERSTAT from SFC Murphy, 542d. Atkinson
Notified him of/&ip to Dhahran,
requested purchase of vacuum cleaner,
asked about M18 kit msg and xrod msg.
Had not received them. Advised him that
msgs would be copied and delivered.
Also asked him if he could assist in
making contact with 14th, 60th,and 142d.
0900 Received call from 14th EOD. APO is Atkinson
09315 and tel # is as indicated. Told
them to contact 543d.
0945 Received call from 542d. We were Atkinson
advised they had made contact with 60th
EOD. Unable to contact 142d who are
with DISCOM 101st ABN. 60th still at
same location. check board for phone
1005 512th called. Msgs were relayed. Unit Atkinson
will move within 48 hours. Were
requested to reestablish commo as soon
as possible after move.
1100 Received call from SSG Halback, ARCENT Moore
MEDCOM, PB tablets will be ready for
pickup on 20 Jan 91 at MEDCOM orderly
room, BLDG A-1-15.
1300 Received call from llth ADA CM and Atkinson
Control center regarding 203mm projo
near their facility. Tel # TACS 9-8253-
509, com 787-6802. Notified 542d of
incident.
