        TAB C Phase III Staging To 73d Medical Detachment DS/DS AAR


        III. Staging:

            A. Personnel: See Phase IV

            B. Operations:

               1. Cement City:    The 73d was met at Dhahran Air Base by
        representatives of the 483d Medical Detachment (Team JB,
        Veterinary Services, Large). This unit, under the 44th Medical
        Brigade and the 18th Airborne Corps, was the 73d's initial higher
        headquarters. The units convoyed to Cement City, a temporary
        holding area in Dammam.

               2. TV Center Compound: on 14 OCT 90 the unit relocated
        all personnel and equipment to this fixed facility.

               3. AA Vidalia: On 12 NOV 90 the unit relocated all
        personnel and equipment to AA Vidalia, near the town of Serrar.
        The 73d colocated with the 46th Combat Support Hospital.

               4. King Khalid Military City: On 10 JAN 91 the 73d
        relocated to KKMC, colocating with the 62nd Medical Group in the
        86 Evac Hospital area.

               5. Log Base Charlie: On 28 JAN 91 the 73d relocated to
        Log Base Charlie, colocating with the 56th Medical Battalion.

            C. Logistics: No support outside of unit was required.
