            Jan 28:  SCUD intercepted in Riyadh, terrorist activity reported in
            Europe.

            Jan 29: U.S. Marines capture Umm Al Maradim a Kuwaiti Island.

            Jan 30: Three Iraqi Battalions cross Saudi border to attack Saudi
            town of Khafji, in heavy fighting Marines suffer 11 KTA's Iraqis
            suffer heavy losses, 3 Marine tanks destroyed, 24 Iraqi tanks and
            13 other armored vehicles reported destroyed.

            Jan 31:    Khafji recaptured by U.S. Marines and Saudi Forces, 500
            EPW's captured.
            Feb   1:   Report that heavy concentration of Iraqis near Kuwaiti
            town  of Al Wafra possibly preparing for attack.

            Feb   2: Two U.S. Jets shot down. One B-52 crashes in gulf.

            Feb   3: Terrorist attack on U.S. shuttle bus in Jiddah.

            Feb   4: 7th Corps and 18 Airborne Corps continued displacement to
            assembly areas and attack positions. Limited contact with Iraqi
            Forces continued near the border.

            Feb 5: Planning and training for offensive operations continues
            throughout theatre.

            Feb 6:     Limited contact with Iraqi forces in 7th Corps Sector.
            ist Cav returned fire on enemy Observation Post with AH-1. 11 EPW
            surrendered to Ist Cav.

            Feb 7: No significant enemy contact reported. 7th Corps captured
            5 EPWS.

            Feb 8:     7th Corps continued limited engagement of enemy forces
            near border. One SCUD launched toward Riyadh and was destroyed by
            3-43 ADA BN.

            Feb 9: No    engagement with enemy forces reported. 7th and 18th
            Corps continue to refine plans, train for combat, maintain
            equipment and push forward sustainment stocks.

            Feb 10: 7th Corps took 12 EPWs and destroyed two Observation Posts
            reported on enemy contact.
