DISCUSSION:
Field snaltation duties require full time
personnel.
* Infectious waste disposal/advice required
outside consultation and was sporadic. Would
have been inadequate with high volume of
patients.
* DEPMEDS hospitals not sta-F4ed -For
tremendous sick call mission.
* Need for a Deputy Commander Clinical
Services identified by all hospitals.
* Unit Supply staffing inadequate.
* Hospital not authorized a 93, Operations
Officer, pulling XD away +romother duties to
handle functions.
* EVAC hospital has a tremendous amount of
equipment, but has no authorized Maintenance
Warrant. Overall view was that staffing to
sustain 400 bed operational hospital is
inadequate on wards, OR, X-ray, Laundry/bath,
and to do required details and security
rnote: US NAVY Fleet Hospital (DF:PMEDt) of
500 beds is staffed with 976 personnel.
