MEMORANDUM FOR VII Corps Chemical 0-f:+icer
SUBJECT: Standardized Construction Requirements for Chemical
Decontamination Sites
1. In order to facilitate the construction a+ deliberate and
hasty decontamination sites within VII Car-ps. the +allowing
E:tandardized designed is submitted for consideration (Encl. 1).
2. The necessary materials and eqLti.omL-nt to build the sites is
currently located in the vicinity of Loo Base Echo. In addition
to aravel. run-o+f trenches and wash pads, it mav be possible to
place asphalt wash pads at some of the sites. @he asphalt is
programmed for other projects, bl.tt is @v,,-ai.Lable in sufficient
for the decontamination sites also. Sites will be
bL.@i.It to vai-v the orientation to the cir-evaili.no wind in order- to
adapt to any wind conditions.
