3. (U) EXECUTION
a. Cc)mmander's Intent. The seriousness of the
situation in Saudi Arabia cannot be overstated. Orderly
transition -From peace to war must be well thought out and
accomplished right the -First time. I want unit shortages
identified and internal -Fill of early packages. Remaining
shortages need to be forwarded to the Bde S-4 for
consolidation and fill. The tactical situation will
continue to change due to threat activities, allocation of
aircraft and air defense priorities in the CENTCOM area of
operations. Leaders at all echelons must remain calm and
show extreme patience. Focus on the end result should be
considered and back planning to accomplish this is vital.
Finally, commanders need to ensure time is allocated -For
family briefings. Specific guidance on -Family briefings
detachment commanders for
deploying units must be designated and aggressive interface
with family members is paramount until return of llth ADA
Brigade soldiers to home station.
b. Concept of the Operation. (See Annex D,
Deployment Timetable) Elements of the llth ADA Brigade will
execute a phased deployment into Saudi Arabia to initially
provide ATBM defenses to critical assets. Phase One -

Stinger/ground defense from 5-62 ADA to Dhahran, Al Jubayl,
Ad Damman, and Umm Said. Phase Two - TF 3-43 ADA will
