                          PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF NERVE
                         AGENT AND BIOLOGICAL AGENT POISONING

          1. Nerve Agent Pyridostigmine Pretreatment Tablet Set, NAPP

              a. 30mg pyridostigmine bromide tablets.

              b. Each soldier issued 2 sets, 21 tablets each.

              c. Start taking when directed by chain of command; 1 tablet
          every 8 hours, beginning 8 hours or less prior to expected
          exposure.

          2. Nerve Agent Antidote Kit, MARK I

              a. Atropine and pralidoxine chloride autoinjectors.

              b. Each soldier should be issued 3 sets.

              c. Start taking when you experience most of all mild
          symptoms of nerve agent poisoning.

              d. Render aid to a buddy if found &uffering from nerve
          agent poisoning, all three sets if severe.

          3. Convulsant Antidote for Nerve Agent, CANA

              a. Do not use your own CANA on a casualty.

              b. CANA is not used as a self-aid.

              c. Render aid to a buddy after you have given all three
          MARK I sets.


          4. CIPROFLOXIN

              a. Ciprofloxacin hydrochl

              b. Each soldier should be issued a 10 day supply (20
          tablets).

              c. Commander will initiate presumptive treatment based upon
          recommendation by ACSOPS NBC Officer and ARCENT headquarters;
          one pill every 12 hours.
