f. Food service representatives need to ensure that all
coolers, serving utensils, and cooking pans are being properly
cleaned and sanitized by the caterer. All equipment must be

g. All caterers should follow TB Med 530 standards. Unit
food service representatives should review TB Med 530 with their
caterer. Inspections should be-conducted IAW with TB Med 530
standards.
2. The goal of all unit food service representatives,
commanders, and preventive medicine personnel should be to
eliminate all hazardous problems from the food service
operations. The caterers must be monitored closely by the units
to ensure that the soldiers health is protected.
3. Questions or problems may be directed to 12th Medical
Detachment TAC 9-7805-380 or 9-7910-625/617. The POC is CPT
Gongaware.
