           SUBJECT: Pesticide Use by Untrained Personnel


           1. Unit commanders must ensure that untrained personnel do not
           procure, possess, or ai@ly pesticides other than Permanone and
           d-Phenothrin.

           2. Trained unit Field Sanitation Team (FST) members may apply
           chlorpyrifos and conduct chemical filth fly control using baits
           such as Flytek and Apache. All other chemical pest control will
           be coordinated through PM DET-SWA.

           3. Units should turn in unauthorized pesticides through DRMO.

           4. The PM DET-SWA is available to train units, assist in pest
           control or provide information.

           5. The POC is CPT Dunton or SFC Cross, PM DET-SWA, 895-0602, ext
           3090.
