Another aircraft was unable to fire due to TADDS failure.
Received a spot report from Ist Bde concerning several
EPWs who stated that the enemy was starting to carry
protective masks all the time. Units were instructed to
report any sightings of enemy in chemical protective gear.
The 1-3 Atk Hel Bn completed its foLtr-d.Ay training program
on individual and team NBC skills. An OH56D (4tl44) was
deadlined for loose tail-rotor getrbox and eight cracks in
the tailboom; parts from #697 would be substituted to
effect repairs. This discovery led to an Army-wide Safety
            of Flight Message.

10 FEB: 1-3 Atk Hel Bn AH649 received an upgrade to
the ALO.-136 to defeat SA-8 missiles. Unknown UiqVs were
reported flying over, Al Ouisumah airfield and over the d
Bdi- sector. Units were instructed to inform the DTAC of
any suspicious UAVs in their areas, and engage them (with
small arms only) on order from the DTr4C. Shortfalls in
organic transportation issets were becoming apparent, as
noted in a memo from the Bde XO to 0-3 Plans: units lack
transport to move authorized personnel, MILVANS, Scamps,
forklifts, etc. The bde requested external transportation
sk-tpport; retention of MIOOB/MlOOgs (scheduled for
replacement by M998s) would partially alleviate shortfalls
for the movement of soldiers and some equipment.

11 FEB: G-4 signed for 174 sets of body armor for the
bde; due to arrive today. E/227 conducted slingload
operations. Brigade provided five HEm,rT drivers 12-19 Feb
'Lo assist in pickup of new vehicles from Dhahran.

12 FEB. Tor-iigii,@'s screen mission cancelled by G-3.

supporting 30mni weapons firing. Aircraft parts support for-
            this system next to nonexistent.

13 FEB: Began receiving Electro-Optical (EO) weather
forecasts from weather teams. The EO forecast listed data
for AH64 infrared sensors, !\IVGs and ground laser systems
against a sand background. It was critical to AH64
            operations.

E-227 received a warning order to fly replacement MOPP
suits to lst Cav units (mission cancelled on 14 Feb).
Attack battalions prepared to engage enemy units to
support the extraction of irtille-ry units if required
            during the artillery raid.
