postponed. D,RAC sent changes to FRAGO 4$91-10 (added phase
lines and moved location of BP An Khe). Received message
from DMAIN: be on the lookout for a Jordanian, named
Jaai,il, driving t blue car packed with explosives. Last
seen vicinity 1-iafar Al Batin, driving towards Kuwait.

28 JAN: DMAIN reports that a British drone will
overfly the Ist Cav sector, at 0730 hrs. 'Two British Sea-

30 JAN: Two OH58Ds placed on standby at D-RAC for

51C,173 (1800 hrs). One of the continuing problems facing
the brigade was receiving Special Instructions (SPINS) in
a timely manner. Transponder codes, Restricted Operations
Zones (ROZ) and other critical information were often
received late; when they arrived it was usually only for
one day at a time rather than the weekly SPINS usually
            i ss@ted.

I February found the Brigade Commander, XO and S-4 at
a division-level logistics sand table exercise. The attack
battalions were replacing A-model Hellfires with C-model
missiles3 a faulty lot number of A-inodel missiles had been
ified during earlier test-firing at Jayhawk Range.
(This later proved to be erroneous, and restrictions on
            the lot were removed).

Commander's Assessment comments on the low
availability of aircraft. Brigade Commander must approve
all missions except for Fiellfire testing and division
            taskings.

OH58Ds responded to reports of 25 vehicles crossing
the border in column formation vie 29deg 00153"N 4Cdeg
