                 3 March
                          'ne Cease Fire talks were held at Safwan with over forty six aircraft from seven different
                 nations including the US, Britain, Iraq, France, Kuwait, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. The Prince of
                 Saudi Arabia and General Scbwartzkoff attended. General Schwartzkoff arrived in a UH-60 with
                 an escort of six Apaches. The press arrived on CH-47's.

                 4 March
                          LTC Wilkerson led a memorial service held for the ten 4-1 Avn Bn KlAs and the three
                 507th KlAs. SPC Troy Wedgwood accidently stepped on a mine, while on a pans collection
                 mission, killing himgelf and wounding PFC Charles Ritter. Both soldiers were from HBC.

                 5 March
                          M8 chemical aiarfiis were turned off and collected. 4-1 Avn Bn held a second memorial
                 gervice for the soldier killed the previous day. Six personnel left to attend a victory parade in
                 Kuwait City and then redeploy to Ft. Riley to help with the Battalion's redeployment.


                 6 March
                          The Kuwaiti nationals left A Company and were reassigned to 101 MI. The battalion
                 chemical officer instructed the battalion's soldiers that the used chemical suits were to be kept.
                 CPT William R. Salter was assigned to take command of Headquaners Company. CPT Surnerix
                 and CPT Salter began an inventory of HHC equipment for the change of command,

                 7 March
                          A 4th Brigade frago declared Kuwait City off limits.

                 8 March
                          Companies were ordered to search all equipment for unauthorized war trophies.
                 Authorized war trophies were tagged and turned into the S-4. 4-1 battalion sent seven personnel to
on a humanitarian mission to distribute, food and water.

                 10 March
                          Intelligence reported that Iraqi soldiers and equipment were south of the demarcation line at
                 grid coordinates QU740320. Three OH-58D's were tasked to support 1-1 Avn to recon the area
                 and laser designate for Apaches if necessary. The Iraqi soldiers withdrew peacefully when told
                 they were too far south.

                 II March
                          The battalion began phone runs. LTC Wilkerson began general area inspections of all
                 companies' vehicles, equipment, and aircraft.

                 13 March
                          4-1 Battalion was tasked to provide an ATC element, POL section, one UH- IH and one
                 OH-58D in support of the 4th Ede ready reaction force (TF AVN). A Co. 4-1 Avn was tasked for
                 two OH-58D's in support of the zone recon conducted by 1-1 Avn.

                 14 March
                          CPT Smith, with members of 4th Bde staff, led a detachment of soldiers into newly
                 liberated Kuwait City. There they unloaded food, water, and other essentials from an Iraqi bunker
                 and delivered them to Kuwaiti civilians. While in Kuwait City, they visited the Ministry of Justice
