            supported are made by the G-3/6-2 and resources are allocated accordingly. In
            many cases this allocation will result in "hybrid" task organized teams
            designed to operate for a specific time and place.
            MISSION TASKING: Once the division hazard avoidance plan is formulated and

            coordinated with the appropriate staff elements, mission tasking is prepared.
            Mission tasking is oriented upon the battalion task force. The mission tasking
            specifies the assets allocated to perform the mission and defines the terms of
            attachment. Hazard avoidance assets may be designated, OPCON, Direct Support,
            or General Support depending upon the tactical situation and the desires of the
            Division Commander. Assets are generally allocated to the battalion task
            force. In special situations, however, the XM21 may be used to support a
            Company Team.
            EQUP81_jolLgRI@g: In some cases, combat tailoring is required to make the best
            use of hazard avoidance assets. An example of this is the XM21 system is
            organized to overmatch chokepoints. In this case the use of the XM21 systems
            in the vehicle dismounted or (Tripod configuration) will provide the supported
            Task Force Commander with a point surveillance capability at the cost of
            organizing a crew from his internal assets. The following factors influence

            BEOgIE_RglggllOU_IEA@S: When the XM21 system is employed in it's dismounted
            configuration, a remote detection team must be organized to employ the system.
            The assets required to form the M21 crew may be provided from the supported
            unit or any other unit assigned or attached to the division. When assets
            external to the supported unit are formulated into a remote detection teams the
            supported unit becomes responsible for the movement of the team and the
            integration into the planned and on-going operations. The Supported Battalion
            Chemical Officer has the staff responsibility for the tactical employment of
            the team.
