EPWs are f
and have not been interrogated by US Forces.
2. The EPWs provided sketches of the obstacle belts between the Saudi-
Kuwai@Iz. border and their units' main Positions. See Tab A, 8, and G
for the sk ches.
3. The fo@lowing information was also Provided by the EPWS:
- No chemical or magnetic mines are in front of
-Concertina not electrified
-Ist row of Is@, minefield (that coalition forces will face) is the
only row that will have both AP and AT mines
-All gaps between unit positions are closed with minef;.elds that
connect the positions
-Iraqi intelligence is not working well with their Engineers
-All distances are "pace" distances.
All mines were laid by hand
All minefields are well covered by direct fires especially by
anti-tank fires
As soon as coalition forces attack and reach Iraqi obstacles, they
-Vwill use chemical weapons.
-Chemical weapons will be delivered by artillery, rockets, and
aircraft.
-EPWs said that Iraq still has stockpiles of these munitions.
-The EPWs were told Iraq has nuclear capability.
-Almost no ADA weapons are left.
has suffered 50% losses.
-Personnel losses are unknown.
-Morale is low.
-The soldiers don't believe in this war and want Saddam dead.
-The Iraqis have a Ground Survelliance Radar, with 30km range,
e of picking up vehicles and dismounted personnel. This is
located on a gas station on the (phonetic spelling) Selmi Jahar
road, next to the (phonetic spelling) Mo Sara Kaya chicken farm.
-Each unit has stored food and water for 30 days.
Large number of Iraqis are waiting for the ground attack so they
can desert.
--Soldiers prefer Fsyops use speakers (verbal message'/ rather than
'e,3f'ets.
