                  destroy t@(eir equipment.                The platoon was successful and
                  returned witt'i tt-iit-ty Iraqi prisoners.                     The platcoi-i rc-tui,nej

                  equipment.
                          On February 19 the TF conducted a sand table rehearsal.

                          On February 20 tV,e TF was ordered to begin the screening
                  mission at the Saudi Arabian - Iraqi boarder on February 22,
                          On February 21 t@ie TF Was ready to conduct air assault
                  operations.

                  AIR A@@SAULT INTO IRAQ - OBJECTIVE COBRA

                          On February 24, G-Day, the 2d SDE TF(-) air assaulted
                  unopposed into Objective Cobra during the lat-9 morning and
                  afternoon.         Cobra had been seized that morning by the l@t
                  BDE.TF(+) which included the 1/502 IN. Th                          'e TF soldiers began
                  to prepare defensive positions, but encountered very hard,
                  rocky ground which severely slowed the digging.
                          On Fe@ruary 2S, the first full day in Iraq, light rain
                  and moderate winds allowed the built-up of FOE Cobra tct
                  continue. The soldiers continued to scratct-L their positions
                  out of the very hard ground. After nightfall tl-te rain
                  st.opped and strong winds began blowing across the desert.
