                               Additional    Kiggion    for  US  Army  Support Group


                    2. Request    that 33Q  AMC aLs.918n  the following miss     'Ion to
                    the US Army Support Group for         the support of EOD
                    personnel stationed in Saudia         ArabiiL:
                          a. Provide toi:i'be     testing of MPAL protective
                    masks, U3 Toxiologic'a'l Agent Protective (TAP) suits,
                    U2AI TAP boots, and M3 TAP gloves. EOD personnel are
                    probabily the only personnel In SWA Issued these Items,
                    that under current Army/@ guidance require testing on
                    & periodic basis (TAP gear-quarierly;
                    idagkslgemiannually) on specialized equipment normally
                    available only at chemical agent storage locations.

                          b. Laundering and visual inspection of TAP gear.
                    This visual Inspection is very detailed and is
                    prescribed in current Army directives.

                    2. Personnel from Pine Bluff Arsenal are currently in
                    Saudia Arabia establishing the magk testing for combat
                    troops masks (rebuild and tent:Cng"'facility). They took
                    with them all types of testing equipment required to
                    support EOD personnel. However, It Is not clear that
                    they have a mission statement to provide the testing/TAP
                    laundry support to EOD personnel.

                    ,3. CENTCOM should be notified of this mission
                    *saignment/capability so that other service EOD
                    personnel can be querried to determine if they also               have
rsonnel.
