C3I ISSUE NO. 24 AF Forward Medical Staff - Dental
(SGHR ITEM NO. 233)
DISCUSSION: Comments were made concerning mix of specialties in the AFFOR/SG
staff. Several areas, including dental and logistics felt that the mix could
be improved during ODS. Problems in dental and logistics management could have
been dealt with more expediently with additions to the AFFOR staff.
RECOMMENDATIONS: During deliberate planning process the theater medical
planners at CENTAF, SOUTHAF, AFLANT, etc., should address the AF component, SG
staffing. The mix of AFFOR/SG staff needs to be reviewed.
ACTIONS REQUIRED: AF components review staffing requirements for deployed
headquarters.
ACTIONS COMPLETED: Components have reviewed staffing and adjusted plans
according to their review.
