C3I ISSUE NO. 17 ANG Representative at MAJCOMs during Contingencies

         (SGHR ITEM NO. 112)

         DISCUSSION: Traditionally, NGB/SG has not had a medical representative at HQ
         ACC, and HQ AMC. During ODS an NGB medical officer was placed at HQ AMC for
         interface. Early in ODS a number of disconnects occurred, AD did not
         understand NGB functions. The NGB medical officer improved communication,
         reduced disconnects, and provided the AD with the ANG perspective.

         RECOMMENDATION: Place an NGB representative at HQ level ASAP during
         contingencies.

         ACTIONS REQUIRED: Identify ARC medical representatives to provide liaison with
         MAJCOMs during contingencies.

         ACTIONS COMPLETED: ARC representatives have been identified to provide liaison
         with MAJCOMs during contingencies

         STATUS: Closed.
