As of 0800 on 25 Jan 91, 648 cases of gastroenteritis were reported by the hospital supporting the 1701 PAREFW. There were only 16 new patients in the past 24 hours. The total count increased more than l6 because a review of records revealed additional cases. Fifty-four patients were admitted (plus 1 for the day). Only 3 remain in the hospital. The number of DNIFs increased from 7 to 8. This increase is also the result of the records review. The eighth DNIF occurred on 23 Jan 91. 2. Preliminary stool culture results were negative.
