        1. Seven outbreaks of food borne illnesses have been identified
        since August 90 at CENTAF deployed locations. To prevent further
        incidents of this nature and to protect the health and readiness
        of our people,  I have drafted the attached letter for Lieutenant
        General Horner's signature. This letter will'be disseminated to
        all CENTAF host unit CC's.
        
        2. This is a coordinated letter between LG, DE, and SG.
        
        3. If you have any questions, please refer them to  [(b)(2)]
        
       4. Please call Lt Byrd at communication numbers identified in
       paragraph 2 when coordination is completed. Our goal is to have
       this letter ready for CC signature on 13 Dec 90.
