Perfingens (CP) (U)
1. @ Purpose: To provide information on subject potential
biological warfare (BW) agents as related to operation Desert
Shield.
2. @ Facts:

b. Although the current Army protective masks and
collective protection will protect the soldiers, there is no real
time detection system to alert service members of an incoming Bw
agent.
c. SEB is a toxin. CP produces a toxin, so it can be
disseminated as the organism and/or toxin. Toxins can be used like
chemical agents for effect on front line units.
