Reactogenicity is modest, with 2-4% of vaccinees reporting erythema,
or induration which peaks at 24-48 hours, then dissipates. The frequei
local reactions increases with each subsequent inoculation; after the sec id
third doses, 7-10% will have local reactions, with higher incidences (u 1%
or so) after boosters. Severe local reactions are rare, consisting of mo
extensive edema or induration. Systemic reactions are reported in up t
consisting of fever, malaise, headache, and myalgia. Incapacitating reA
(local or systemic) are uncommon. The vaccine should be stored at re for
           temperatures (= frozen).
Given current and projected vaccine stocks, 3 or more vaccine di

           exposure to botulinum aerosols.
Given projected antitoxin stocks and absence of pharmacokinetic
human and despeciated equine products, there is no indication at presen se
of antitoxin as a generally-available prophylactic modality.
