            i. Vaccine Shipment Notification

                (1) Upon instructions from TSG, the SGVPRC Working Group
        will notify USAMMDA point of contact to ship the required doses of
        vaccine(s) to pre-selected sites to initiate vaccination of Army
        personnel.

                (2) USAMMDA will in turn notify the vaccine manufacturer
        providing explicit instructions on shipment.

                (3) Initial or total vaccine shipment will leave the
        manufacturer within 24 hours with the balance to follow within the
                                              I
        second 24 hours. Within 48 hours of the time of manufacturer
        shipment, the vaccines will have reached their destination.

                (4) USAMMDA will provide USAMMA a destination point of
        contact and quantity of dosages so that USAMMA can ensure
        appropriate supplies (i.e., needles, syringes, sterile water, etc)
        are available in sufficient quantities at destinations).

            J. Vaccine Transportation - vaccine(s) will be shipped by the
        most expeditious, secure, and direct route utilizing civilian or
        military transport means as appropriate. 'Vaccines shipped OCONUS
        will be under military control during each phase of the trip.
        Appropriate MACOMs and agencies will supervise shipment and storage
        conditions during each phase of transit.

            k. Vaccine Stability

                (1) Temperature control of the vaccine(s) will be ensured
        by storage in appropriate insulated transport containers designated
        by USAMMA. These transport containers will be recharged with
        coolant as required during each step of the trip by AMEDD logistics
        personnel.

                (2) Appropriate AMEDD logistical personnel at intermediate
        points of vaccine transit shall be alerted to ensure vaccine
        stability to include coolant recharging.
