                 (1) Provide technical information on vaccine development,
        commercial availability, cost estimates, and projected milestone
        dates, production schedules, and CONUS/OCONSU industrial base
        capabilities.

                 (2) Maintain inventory accountability of the contingency
        vaccines and stability data.

                 (3) Designate the principal project officer (and
        alternates) who would function as technical advisors for each
        specific vaccine.

                 (4) Provide information on recommended administration
        (route and dosage), contraindications, possible adverse effects,
        competition with other vaccines, and any other concerns about the
        specific vaccine product.

                 (5) Ensure proper vaccine packaging and storage guidelines
        are established, and responsibilities for vaccine stability are
        assigned.

                 (6) Initiate vaccine procurement actions in accordance
        with guidelines and recommendations from OTSG, DASG-HCZ and the
        SGVPRC Committee. USAMMA will provide the funding for Army
        requirements.

                 (7) Maintain vaccine inventory and potency testing data
        and provide such information to the SGVPRC Committee.

                 (8) Ensure that vaccine stocks are decentralized for
        security reasons.

                 (9) Coordinate with the FDA to minimize the r@irement
        for informed consent during wartime for IND vaccines.

                 (10) Ensure shipping and storage requirements are met, to
        include local, county, and state statutes and U.S. Public Health
        Service recommendations, and international shipping and storage
        requirements for vaccines. Monitors political sensitivities of
        transporting vaccines within CONUS and OCONUS.

                 (11) Upon notification by the SGVPRC Working Group,
        USAMKDA will immediately issue the order to appropriate
) to package and ship vaccines to pre-selected sites
        to begin vaccination of soldiers.
