            1. (U) Purpose. To provide an information paper to ODCSOPS to
            address subject issue.

            2.     @ Facts.

                   a. (U) Information is provided on stocks of vaccine and
            antitoxin sent to the Area of Responsibility and stocks returned
            to CONUS.

                   b.    @ Anthrax vaccine stocks will be held in suspended
            status until it reaches its expiration date. If an urgent
            requirement occurs prior to their expiration, the stocks retrieved
            from the AOR will be retested to determine their usability. The
            IND botulinum toxoid and antitoxin will be maintained and tested
            periodically in keeping with normal procedures.

                   C. (U) Current CONUS asset levels are also provided.

            3. (U) Recommended action. Request approval and release.
