                            DEVELOPMENT COMMAND, FORT DETRICK,

         SUBJECT: Additional Mission of Biological Vaccine and Antitoxin
         Production

         1.       The U.S Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious
         Diseases (USAMRIID) is herewith tasked to change its mission
         priorities and direct immediate attention to the production of
         botulinum toxin and antitoxin.

         2. initial funding for required renovations, purchase of
         equipment and vaccination of personnel has already been provided.

         3. This mission is of the highest priority. OTSG point of
