           5. 1 also got from the Air Force and Navy some rates they reported (frankly, at the moment I do
not remember where I got them from) and made charts comparing rates in all 3 services (using
adjusted rates for the An-ny considering them probably more accurate). If I remember correctly
(a big IF), the Air Force and Navy published graphs of their rates of diseases and I read off of the
graph an approximate number. So my data for them is ballpark only and probably old and
           incomplete.

           6. 1 am sending you my weekly worksheets which show how many of each category from each
unit and then the totals. Sometimes data was apparently incomplete because a unit did not report
data because they were not open. An example, week #25: @lst Medical Group did not report any
data, this is because in preparation to moving north with the troops they were not open for '
business; hence, no cases is a true and complete report in that situation. At the bottom of each
weekly worksheet is my guestimate of the completeness of reporting. An exarnple--week #5: 1
estimated that I had approximately 70% reporting as of I Mar 91. But I wrote and gathered
additional data after I returned. On I Aug 91 1 estimated that the data was about 95% complete.
That is what those numbers at the bottom of the page mean. So, in adjusting the rates for week
#5 1 simply multiplied the rate I had on I August by the inverse of .95 to get a slightly higher
           rate.

           7. 1 am sending you a copy of the VIEEKLY MEDICAL SURVEILLANCE REPORT--
DESCRIPTION OF CATEGORIES and the Report Form itself

           8. 1 am also sending you a summary sheet of the rates and adjusted (corrected?) rates I used for
           making my graphs.

           9. 1 still have gobs of more detailed paperwork, but it would probably be overkill. They are such
tions by Aid Station or TMC of their data. You have the summaries and
           compilations.
