    MEMORANDUM

    From: Casualty Officer
    To, I'bEF,: G- I

    Subj: TRANSPORTATION..

    1. From a logiatical,.viewpoin@:i I,..,f orsee.. potential problems.-
that may be easily resolved by.providing a vehicle to the Casualty

    Section.'- The problems,::

How will released patients return.to the Casualty Company for
further transportation back to their parent: unit or assignment to

       the CRR?

low will patients get to FLT Hospitals for follow up care/deter-

       minatio.,h of 14 day MEDEVAC?

    - Where are these patients supposed to go when they are released?

    2. The above problems are not surfaced without a recommended

solution. Assignment of a van (not a bus due to international

restrictions) to the Casualty Company should eliminate the problem.

The van would 'milk run' each day starting at Fleet Hospital 6 and

the 47th Army Hospital in Bahrain and travel north. Patients could

travel back to the Casualty Company at Camp 15 as well as onward

transportation to FLT Hospitals for follow up treatment. This trans-

portation is extremely important and must be given top priority.

With the limited number of casualties we are currently having,

ansportation has already surfaced as an issue at FLT Hospitals 5
15 locally. This could reallistically become a morale problem
