The Total Force regular and reserve concept was exercised during OPERAflON DESERT
STORM and proved that the Naval and Marine Corps reservists are ready to provide critical skills
           whenever and wherever needed.

Joint service cooperation between the Navy-Marine Corps team, the U.S. Army, U.S. Air
Force and U.S. Coast Guard has been superb - on the ground, in the air, and at sea. We are all work-
ing to bring together our combined arms together to achieve the greatest combat capability possible.
I DESERT STORM is a tribute to our All Volunteer Force, our reservists, our families
and the family support network, including Family Service Centers, chaplains and the Ombudsman
program. Our people are the key to our ready posture in today's Navy-Marine Corps team.
