                   near Jahra to prevent   enemy forces from escaping from Kuwait City to the
                   west. Numerous aromored vehicles were engaged during the day and after
                   dark, with a small number of prisoners being captured.
                      On 27 February 1991, the attack was planned to continue north to the
                   Gulf (approximately 5 miles) when the operation was halted. On 28 February
                   1991, A Company welcomed a parade of coalition forces that passed through
                   the blocking position heading into Kuwait City. The cease fire was also
                   announced that morning.

                      From 28 February 199i until I March 1991, A Company remained in place in
                   the blocking position. On 2 March 1991, A Company was detached from 2/2
                   and went back to gth Tank Battalion. From that date until 16 March 1991,
                   the company remained in the vicinity   of Kuwait City to provide a security
                  .presence.
