          I Jan      New Years Day

          expansion  project commences. Lontinued to provide contracting

          support concept for 24th Mari-nc-5 (A55igned RAS).

          4 Jan      Supply warehousing expansion project completed. MT lot
          expansion project about 80% complete. Requested PMO survey of
          traffic on roads running around/through bulk fuel farms.

          5 Jan      Saudi truck crashed into our base camp power lines.
          Power restored 12 hours later. MT lot expansion project
          completed.

          6 Jan      Held CSS discussions with 24th Marines assigned to
          Jubail AF as screening force and reaction force. Completed
          reconstruction of air shelters.


          E3 Jan     Completed turnover of Active duty/Reserve 1371/91
          personnel. Attained a 41% +ill rate in supply.

          9 Jan      0-2 visited camp to discuss intelligence briefings.
          Group Supply/6-4 held courtesy inspection of supply section; good
          results.


          10 Jan     Briefed Marines and Sailors about             vaccinations.


          11 Jan     Went to increased security at all three base camps.
          USAF casualty/evacuation hospital established at Jubail AF. MEF
          directs support of the hospital. 3rd MAW move to Jubail AF
          complete; additional 600 Marines to support.

          12 Jan     Relieved of ammunition responsibility -For MAS-16. The
          MAG acquired own ammunition technician.

          13 Jan     MWSS-174 assumed perimeter responsibilities from the
          subunit located at KAA. This frees us up to provide better CSS
  due to personnel shortages. Likewise, PMO at Jubail AF assumed
          perimeter responsibilities from Bulk fuel north and 24th Marines
          assumed perimeter responsibilities from CSSD-132 base camp. This
          is of course welcomed and allows us to better provide CSS. In
          case of actual emergency, the Dot still has significant perimeter
          responsibilities.

          14 Jan     Stopped consuming MREs at lunch. Began consuming boxed
          lunch provided by MWSS-374. Concern over in theater supplies of
          MRES, thus the move to stop consuming.
