         identified during rn(,rninq of G-day. From 093C) to 1331, lltl-i Marines
         Target Processing Center (TPC) consolidated targets and Regt FDC
         coordinated engagfftent of 42 separate counter+ire targets cleared by
         appropriate maneuver units.   Reqt FDC issued fire orders for attack of
         26 targets by artillery; 17 were coordinated by lith Marines Air
         Officer via qLtic@.-:fire channel with Tactical Air Controller Airborne
         (TACA) +or attack by close air support aircraft.
       - C)941, 3/12 displacl-ed by echelon displacing I/3/14 through breach in
         order to provide continous direct support to TF Grizzly. I/3/14
         occupied firing position grid QS 710840 FireCap ready at 1100.
       - 095@-, @1/11 completed occupation of firing position beyond first
         obstacle belt at grid OS 77 84; mission DS TF Ripper.
       - 110c), 1/11 began displacement through first obstacle belt and occupied
         firing positions near grid QS 6379 FireCap ready at 1400. During
         occupation, 1/1.1 Jump CP took incoming mortar +ire.
       - 1100, 1/12 assumed mission reinforcing 1/11 in order to provide
         continuous +ire support to TF Papa Bear as 1/11 displaced forward.
       - 113(,), 5/11 displaced by echelon with two batteries through TF Grizzly
         breach site to firing positions at grid QS 7687. Initial two batteries
         FireCap ready at 1330; remaining two batteries displace at 1430; entire
         Bn FireCap ready in new position at 1915.
       - 1147, 3/11 fired 247 rounds in series "Ric@," to neutralize Iraqi
         positions defending 2d obstacle belt.
       - 1200, 3/12 began displacment of reamining two batteries (B/I/IC) and
         F/2/10) through first obstacle belt and occupied firing positions near
         grid DS 7391 FireCap ready 1500.

         to facilitate air attack on Iraqi positions defending second obstacle
         belt.
       - 1210, With the CFL currently in effect located -beyond most of
         coianter+ire targets identified, Regt FDC recommended that Division Fire
         Support Coordination Center (FSCC) established interim CFL closer to
         friendly forces. Division FSCC immediately establihsed hasty CFL alonq
         the second obstacle belt.
       - 1220, Based on TF Ripper reported movement through 2d obstacle belt,
         regimental FDC reverted to use of CFL 2 +or clearance of fires.
       - 1223, 7./12 received check firing on mortar colknter+ire target from TF
         Grizzly forward observer becaslte Ir-aqi soldiers were surrendering at
         that location. Based on demonstrated Iraqi propensity to immediately
         surrender when fired upon with Dual Purpose Improved Conventional
         Munitions (DPIC@i), Regt FDC adjusted standard mortar coltnter+ire volley
         to battery one round DPICM.
       -            began displacing batteries forward by echelon through th@
         second obstacle belt to support TF Ripper's attack towards Al Jaber
         airfield. One platoon from each battery had occupied firing positions
         near grid QS 7890 FireCap ready at 14C)O.
       - 1309, Regt FDC directed 1/11 to reorient an azimuth of +ire C)100 in
         preparation for possible Iraqi armor counterattack.
       -- 1:7.16, 1/12 began displacement by battery through first obstacle belt
         with C/l/1'@ occupying position grid OS E35982(-) FireCap ready at 1528.
