3.b. A steering committee/working group representing NEPA,
EPA, KFUPM, NODA/MSD, MOH, and USCENTCON was be formed to plan and
coordinate on-going and future assessment activities. This
steering group met after the general meeting and will meet again at
1000 hours, Saturday, 6 April 1991, at KFUPM to consider the EPA
generated long term, air quality assessment plan.
3.c. The next general meeting will take place on Saturday, 4
Nay 1991, at 1000 hours at the Research Institute Auditorium (4th
floor), KFUPN.
3.d. Invitations to attend the next general meeting should be
extended to other interested agencies in the GCC countries.
3.e. The EPA will determine future consultant activities to
include team members, PN-lO monitoring equipment and placement, and
long term recommendations to NEPA.
3.f. Current health recommendations will continue to stress
"common sense" advice - i.e. - during periods of heavy smoke avoid
heavy exertion, stay indoors, cover nose and mouth with cloth or
mask, avoid the area if possible, and seek medical care for
respiratory or eye irritation.
