     b. Using casualties injectors, administer all remaining
injectors immediately and in rapid SuccEssion, not to exceed two
minutes.

     C. Push needles of used injectors through the left pocket
flap of protective suit and bend neeciles to form hooks.

3.   The only change to the procedure.'; published in STP 21-1
involves the use of the Convulsant Az~tidote for Nerve Agent
(CANA).

4.   With atropine and 2-Pam Chloride alone, an individual may
survive a nerve agent attack but incur severe brain damage due to
convulsions. CANA is an autoinjector which contains Diazepam, a
form of valium, which is very effect~ve in preventing convulsions
and brain damage associated with nerve agent poisoning.   Each
person will be issued one (1) CANA a~Itoinjector which will be
used ONLY for buddy aid.

5.   Buddy aid is required when an individual has been exposed to
sufficient nerve agent that he can flC) longer help himself.   After
following the procedures listed in STP 21-1 for buddy aid, the
buddy will immediately remove the CMtA autoinjector from the
casualty's mask carrier and inject the casualty.

6.   After injecting the casualty with the CANA autoinjector, the
buddy will pin the CANA autoinjector to the casualty's shirt
pocket next to the MARK 1 Kit autoinfectors and get ~edical
assistance for the casualty.
