        j.-n an exemplary mariner. The D.RF volunteered to take on the mission 24
        hours continuously   . By 12 January 91, the battalion commander assigned the
        Fil3th O.RF to duty as the 68th Trans Bn permanent O-RF.
        On 11 January 91, the 5i3th successfully transported 34 M113 APCs of the
        :1/8 and 4/8 Cavalry, 3ed Armored DiVisibh'and 70 soldiers,+rom-t-he-Pc,-'C--o-F.-:-

        we began taking our anti-nerve agent PB pills to counter reactions to-a
        chemical Attack. ThAt same morning we received the news around 0345 hours
        that bombs were falling all over Iraq ind KLiviait: Operktion Desert Storm
        had begun.
        As of 17 January 91, the 513th has logged over 60e,5(5 total miles. We
