            4. (U) TITLE: SUMMARY - Phase I - Director of Engineering & Hsg

            5. (U) EXECUTIVE SUMMARY FOR DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING AND
            HOUSING:

                  a. Overall the deployment went very well. Even so, there
            were a few problems.

                           (1) There was a lack of information about the
amount of BBPCT&S material the DEH should stock, and the
waste of material, especially conex inserts, also was a
concern. Units reported with insufficient transportation assets
            to move.BBPCT&S material.

                           (2) Deploying units unexpectedly turned in an
extraordinary amount of material to the Hazardous Material
Turn-in Point. The large quantities and lack of labeling
            provided logistical problems.

                           (3) Departing units often turned off all the circuit
breakers in their buildings, which turned off the heat. This
caused the pipes to freeze and break when the weather turned
            cold.

                           (4) Not all housing occupants leaving post +or an
extended time notified the housing office. This has created
problems gaining access to quarters to do maintenance and repair
            work.

                 (U) SUBJECT. NONE

                 (U) INTEROPERABILITY: NONE

                 (U) Action managed by: LOCAL, action worked by: RAP number:
