GUIDE TO ABBREVIATIONS IN EOD JOURNAL

The computer generated spreadsheet used codes to allow calculation of totals and identification
activities. Below are the explanation of abbreviations and actions contained in the Desert Storm
               Journals:

               ACTIVITY CODE

                          1. Incidents are input using unit number followed by chronological sequence number
then "DS' for Desert Shield / Storm. Example: the 3rd EOD Det responds to their fifth
incident which would be listed as '3-005-DS" followed by the DTG of receipt of misslo

                          2. Other activities only receive the DTG of the activity start time.

               CATEGORY

EOD Incidents are assigned a category of response priority to define actions for the team
