            Department

             d. X-RAY TWO: The wall directly in front of the beam is not
sand bagged. The Operating Room is located within 20 feet of the
            direct beam.

              e. There are no sand bags separating the entrance to the X-ray
            machines and the waiting areas.

            4. RECOMMENDATIONS:

              a. )W Haskins should be appointed in writing as the Radiation
Protection Officer. An alternate (e.g. SSG Moses) should be
trained and appointed to continue the program after force
            reduction.

              b. The film badge service will be reinstituted through the
parent unit at Ft. Hood. The RPO POC is CPT Brannon or SFC
Bradley at DSN 738-8249. They have arranged for a Lexington
account and film badges to be sent to the Preventive Medicine
            Detachment.

              c. All personnel working with radiological equipment should be
immediately enrolled in the film badge monitoring program.
d The film badges will be collected and returned quarterly for
measurement as per AR 40-14. Records will be maintained by the
            21st Evacuation Hospital RPO.

              e. All radiation workers will receive a CBC before entry into
the radiation protection program. They will have a second CBC
prior to redeployment to home station. The results will become a
permanent part of their medical records.

              f. The X-ray Department will stark sandbags against the wall
which is directly in front of the beam. A second wall of sand

            ray machine (see Enclosure Two).

              g. Personnel listed in Enclosure Three will be placed on the
