                    the area.
                         2250,  Dismounts are observed moving away from the
              vehicles under    observation by I-F 2-8.

                         2331.  'i-F 2-8 observes the I ID engage targets to
              the north of the berm with direct fire systems.
                         2340- TF 2-8 observes a vehicle to their- front
              stf-@tel@ by direct fire weapons from -the I ID area.

              with indirect fires.
                         0030n I ID reports it is going -Lo engage -t,-irqets
              to the north of the berm with fire from AH--64s.
                         0055. TF 2-8 Cav observes the Apaches fire and
              hit 'two vehicles.
                         oii6.. 'rhe Bde Commander terminates the rloon
              mission And directs ill TF -8 Rnd 2-5 units to remain
              south of -the berm.
                         08OVI. I ID enters the brigade sector north of the
              berm to assess damage to friendly vehicles.
                         13053 D-RAC places all operations north of 'the
              berm on hold. Ti-iis action was based on the fratricide in
              the I ID sector.
