                      -FF 3-32 prepares to relieve the western troop of
            1-7 Cav on the division screen line.
                      -@'F 2-8 conducts recc)n of counterattack routes
            into the 2d Bde and 1-7 Cav sectors.
                      1-82 FA conducts firing exercises at Jayhawk
            Range. Purpose is to calibrate red and white charge bags
            from the ammunition basic loicl. The red bag is a new
            addition to the ABI- and no firing data is available.
                      OPLAN DESERT' STORM is issued to units.
                      Units begin to mark vehicles with the anti-
            -fratricide may,kings.
                      TF 3-37 AR/I ID moves into sector on the brigades
            left -flank. TF 3-32 conducts coordination.


                  06 Feb
                      FA740: TF 3-32 completes relief of the 1-7 Cav's
            western most troop on the division forward screefilinc-:.
                      091@O., TF 2-5 Cav conducts by-each training with
            the reserve company team.
                      i920: The BDE CDR orders the desty-Ltction of a
            possible enemy DP vie PT048188. The FISTV with the
            screening company, D/3-32, will mark the target with a
            laser.       will engage with Copperl-iexd rounds. The
            mission will be conducted the morning of 7 Feb.


                  V17 Feb
                      0911- -rF 3-3 captures five EPWs on the
                            screenline.
                      13/@0: TF 3-32 marks a possible Iraqi DP, x
            building with a vehicle present, ;with a Iiser from a
            FIS-RV. B/1-62 FA engages with three Copperhead rounds and
            IqB DPICM rounds. This is the first wartime firing of the
            Copperhead munition by U.S. Army artillery units. It is
            also the first artillery engagement by US Army forces
g the war. The building and one wheeled vehicle are
            destroyed.

                  08 Feb
                      1845: 1-82 Fiq begins rehearsals for participation
            in VII Corps artillery 'raids.
                      TF 3-32 conducts live fire training with hand
            grenades, Claymore mines, and LAWS.
                      The brigade receives 17 HEMMT fuelers to replace
            and/or RLtqment organic fuel hauling assets.
