            Facts.
            1. Natick Labs (NRDEC) has an engineering development effort for
            NBC protective covers for supplies and equipment. Projected type
            classification (TC) for this-itam is 3QFYgl. Chemical
            penetration testing by DUcjWay PG on the SARANEX barrier material
            is targeted for completion, -and Nov 90 o
            2. NRDEC in program of British, %Tapanese, Swedish and US
            candidate NBC  roteotive covers in on-going. Key candidates from
            testing are British and Tis NBC protective covers.

            S. NRDEC awarded the initial buy to Anchor Tndustries for 20
            each of the 20*x 140trolls on 28 Sept 908 with delivery to be
            cc,mpletetend Dec 90 . Sate contract includes 1500 h*x-shaped sun
            shields for cover of battle tanks,delivery complete Dec 90. Cost
            of solar shields is $ 285 each , This contract is for Desert
            Shield, per HQ AMC direction .
            6. The second procurement of 120 NBC protective covers
 is targeted for award in 19PY91 by URDSO,
            This will be in des@ tan color for Desert shield, Expected
            delivery to depot is 30 days after contract award .
