               you have thoroughly deconned your skin, you must attend to the
               amination of your personal equipment. Use the following steps to
        properly complete these actions.



        Teaching Point (5 min)


        III.     PROCEDURES FOR EQUIPMENT DECON.

        NOTE:    If you are in MOPPI through MOPP3, it will not be necessary to
                 decon your gloves.

             A.  Use  1 packet to decontaminate gloves.

             B.  Use  1 packet to decontaminate helmet.

                 1.   If deconning a Kevlar helmet, use patting/dabbing motion.

                 2.   If deconning a helmet with NBC protective cover, use wiping
                      motion.

                 3.   I+ deconning camouflage covering, use wiping motion or replace
                      camouflage covering.

             C.  Use  I packet to decon mask/hood combination.


             D.  Use  1 packet to decon weapon.

             E.  Use  2 packets to decon LCE.

             F.  Use  2 packets to decon boot covers (one packet per boot cover).

             S.  Use  1 packet to decon gloves.




        PRACTICAL- EXERCISE (30 min)


        Pass out 291 Skin Decon Kit packets, one per student.

        Direct students to perform equipment inspection and skin decon using the
        steps listed in items I, J and 11 in the body of the lesson plan.
