File: aabff_24.txt- Because of the direction of the wind in the spring, the oppo- site of what it is in the fall, we are having jets sitting on the installed trim pad for hours when the winds are greater than 5 knots and up the tailpipe. - We dropped 28 lines to weather today. Our grand total was 100/128 plus 1 FCF. - They have given Iraq a deadline of tomorrow evening to be out - of Kuwait or else the ground forces will push them out. Looks like tomorrow will be G-day. FEB 21: DAY 36 - This morning we had a jet divert from the 169th S.C.ANG into our FOL with multiple engine problems. We opted to do the swamp foxes a return favor and install one of ours. This left us with no spare engines up there and we called CENTAF to coordinate getting the airlift to transport two good ones up North and bring back the NM engines so we could flow them back into the Queen Bee pipeline ASAP. - a/c 1385 RTB'ed and we are also coordinating airlift to get the folks, engine, and trailor back. - We are receiving an engine manager this Saturday (finally). This should greatly enhance our ability to manage spares and track inbound and outbound paperwork. - We were under a met watch for the better part of the day with the worst winds and blowing sand yet, although all the jets were able to make it back to base and none had to divert. - a/c 1215 was impounded (again) for another fuel write up. This time external fuel slow to feed. The gremlins are at it again. - We are trying to put our phase high timers as able spares on the morning goes for KKMC. That way if they are not used in the morning goes they can be slapped into phase for a jiffy lube. - In order to cut down on the paperwork confusion when swapping the BAI jets, we are going to rainbow them to other AMU's only when absolutely necessary. If an AMU has birds out for MICAP or supply, more so than any other AMU, they will be fragged with the least front lines apart from the KKMC eight ship. - We found the ECA kits!!!!!!! They were in SAC's WRSK!!!!!! We are pressing with completing the 17th and then will go to the 33rd AMU with the overflow. - We are now officially transferring all five of the Hahn jets to the 363rd. The 10th will do an acceptance inspection on 1300
